LANEDOCKET
Terms of Service
Effective August 26, 2026
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern use of LaneDocket, a web app for freight invoicing. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these Terms, the Privacy Policy, and — while the product is in beta — the Beta Terms.
The operator of LaneDocket is referred to here as LaneDocket. Contact: support@lanedocket.com.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 and able to form a contract. LaneDocket is for business use by carriers, owner-operators, and similar freight businesses — not for personal consumer record-keeping and not for children.
2. Accounts
You are responsible for your account, password, and activity under it. Keep sign-in details confidential. Email support@lanedocket.com if you think the account was misused. Email/password accounts are not currently verified by a confirmation email.
3. The service
LaneDocket lets you upload load paperwork, extract fields with AI, create invoices and billing packets, keep broker records, prepare email templates, and track balances and payments you enter. It is not a transportation management system, dispatch board, factoring company, bank, or law firm.
LaneDocket does not send broker emails. It prepares a message and a PDF packet; you send mail from your own email app. LaneDocket does not collect freight charges from brokers. Payment entries are records you type in.
4. Your content
You own the documents and business data you upload or enter. You grant LaneDocket a limited license to host, display, process, and generate invoices/packets from that content solely to provide the service to you.
You represent that you have the right to upload those files (including rate cons, BOLs, PODs, receipts, and any personal information they contain such as driver, shipper, or consignee details) and that doing so does not violate law or someone else’s rights.
5. Acceptable use
You may not:
- use LaneDocket for anything other than legitimate freight invoicing for your business;
- upload malware, or attempt to break into, scrape, or overload the service;
- circumvent AI-read limits, trials, or other usage rules;
- share an account in a way that evades per-account limits;
- use extracted data to impersonate others or submit false invoices;
- reverse engineer the service except as the law allows.
6. AI extraction — review required
When you tap Read Documents, files may be sent to xAI/Grok to extract printed fields. Extraction is assistive. It can be incomplete or wrong. LaneDocket does not guarantee that extracted fields, invoices, or packets are error-free, complete, or suitable to send without review.
You must review extracted information, invoice amounts, dates, broker details, and attached documents before you rely on them or send them to a broker, factor, or customer. You remain responsible for your books, invoices, and filings.
7. No professional advice
LaneDocket is software, not accounting, legal, tax, factoring, credit, or financial advice. Factoring fields on an invoice, if you use them, are estimates based on percentages you enter. Confirm numbers with your accountant, factor, or attorney.
8. Beta, availability, and changes
The product is in beta. Features may change, break, or pause. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue parts of the service with or without notice, especially during beta.
Keep copies of important original documents outside LaneDocket. Do not treat the app as your only archive.
9. Subscription and trial (when paid billing launches)
The intended paid plan is $14.99 per month after a 14-day free trial, with up to 100 AI document reads per billing cycle. A read is one successful Read Documents pass (a rate con and POD in the same pass count as one read). Uploads, invoice PDFs, email templates, viewing, and payment entries do not count as reads.
Card checkout is not live yet. During this beta, selected users may receive access free of charge. Beta access does not lock in a free plan forever. When paid billing launches, we will explain how to subscribe, when the trial starts or continues, and how to cancel. Until checkout exists, we will not charge a card through LaneDocket.
We may end or change a trial, close expired trial desks from creating new AI reads, or grant uncapped operator/founder access on our own accounts. Unused reads do not roll over unless we say they do.
10. Cancellation and suspension
You may stop using LaneDocket at any time. When paid billing exists, cancel according to the billing screen or by emailing support@lanedocket.com; access continues through the paid period already purchased unless we state otherwise.
We may suspend or close an account that violates these Terms, creates risk, or is used to abuse AI or storage limits. We may also end beta access as described in the Beta Terms.
You may delete your account in Settings. You must type DELETE to confirm. Deletion is permanent and removes this account’s company profile, invoices, documents, brokers, payments, AI cache, generated files, and stored files. Other customers are not affected. If you cannot sign in, email support@lanedocket.com. You can also delete individual invoices, and remove a saved broker from your list without erasing historical invoice names.
11. Intellectual property
LaneDocket, the software, design, and trademarks are owned by LaneDocket or its licensors. You keep your documents and data. Feedback you send may be used to improve the product without paying you, but feedback does not give us ownership of your freight documents.
12. Third-party services
The app depends on third parties, including hosting (Vercel), database (Neon/Postgres), private file storage (Vercel Blob), AI (xAI/Grok), sign-in (Google, X, and the Grok auth broker), and public FMCSA/USDOT data. Their outages or terms can affect LaneDocket. We are not responsible for those services except as the law requires.
13. Disclaimers
LANEDOCKET IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT INVOICES, EXTRACTION, OR PACKETS ARE ACCURATE OR THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED OR SECURE.
14. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, LANEDOCKET AND ITS OPERATORS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR LOST PROFITS, LOST LOADS, LOST DOCUMENTS, INACCURATE INVOICES, MISSED COLLECTIONS, OR OTHER INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY.
OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR CLAIMS ARISING OUT OF THE SERVICE IS LIMITED TO THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID US FOR LANEDOCKET IN THE THREE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM, OR (B) FIFTY U.S. DOLLARS ($50). THESE LIMITS ARE A BASIS OF THE BARGAIN. SOME STATES DO NOT ALLOW CERTAIN LIMITS; IN THOSE STATES OUR LIABILITY IS LIMITED TO THE FULLEST EXTENT ALLOWED.
15. Indemnity
You will defend and indemnify LaneDocket against claims arising from your content, your invoices, or your misuse of the service, except to the extent caused by our willful misconduct.
16. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. The date at the top will change. If a change is material we will post it here. Continued use after the effective date is acceptance. If you do not agree, stop using LaneDocket and email support@lanedocket.com to close the account.
17. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, USA, without regard to conflict of law rules, except that the federal FAA may apply to arbitration if we later add it. Courts in Tarrant County, Texas have exclusive venue, except that we may seek injunctive relief anywhere to protect the service or intellectual property.
If a court finds a section unenforceable, the rest still applies. These Terms plus the Privacy Policy and Beta Terms are the agreement between you and LaneDocket for the service.
